FTR 129: Love Against The Machine 2 With: Sam Swanson
We welcome back our dear friend Sam Swanson and Talk about his album (Escape Babylon)
with his band Slave II Servant! Years ago he announced the project on an episode where Chuck and Sam got to know eachother and spoke about the things that were happening around the world and in their personal lives. Its weird to see that some of the things mentioned on that show were a foreshadow of the world of Covid. Now in this post Covid world he’s finished his work on the album and it’s an absolute must listen. Sam takes you on the gritty journey of his life and how he’s overcome difficulties. The Lord really made him live out what he wrote in his music. We have that conversation on the show and he shares his heart on what it was like to be guided by God in difficult times.
As always’
Don’t forget to spread the fire!!!

This episode has been a great one, it is easly one of my favorites next to the ones with Enoch. There is alot I could comment on for my 2 cents but I will stick to what i am convectied of. The war in Gaza is sad, but prophetic. God put the jews in Israel for his name sake because the jews where out in the world profaning it. Ezekiel 36: 16-37. It dose not matter who was involved in the formation of israel, God used ungodly kings to do his will in babylon and the Persian empire. It is not the devil that put the jews in the holy land and it is not the devil keeping then there. It’s God and he has a plan. Joel 3 is part of his plan. We as Christians should not rejoice over the destruction of our enemies but plead with them and God for there salvation. In the end God will have his way and their day was long foretold. Along with Lebanon and Syria. They will all have there day. By the way, damascus has never been destroyed and is standing mostly intact as it was when God said he would turn it in to a heap. Where flocks would lie down with out fear. Isaiah 17:1-3 read the scripture quotes for full context. This is what God showed me. I pray for the children in these places. The only way to make an impact on these places is to Tell them the truth. God has proclaimed judgment for those who come against Jerusalem and his people. If they don’t act like Nineveh and repent they will suffer the consequences. Hopefully soon we will see Zechariah 12:10- 14 occur. This is when Jerusalem and God’s people look upon the one they pierced and mourn. They will repent and later be cleansed my God’s spirit. Music is my life and I love to make up songs for God to hear. He is wonderful and he never let’s me down. I hope this encourages some of you to know it’s not necessary to be one one side or the other in this conflict. God has the side we are on. That is telling the gospel of christ so that God might relent in his wrath and leave a gift.
Thank you so much for tuning in! I appreciate the response and I Agree with what you’re saying. I’ll pass this along to Enoch and Sam as well. Its very encouraging to hear from anybody even if they don’t always agree. Hope you are blessed by the show and Let’s continue spreading the fire.
